I am always amazed when new research evidence validates the wonderful benefits of meditation. Many of my acquaintances have been sceptical about my enthusiasm for practising meditation regularly, and I have only been able to give anecdotal evidence of the positive changes meditation makes.
But however skeptical people may be, it would be hard to argue against the evidence provided by Susan Blackburn Professor of Physiology (Nobel Prize winner in 2009) and Clifford Saron, research scientist at UCSF. Have a look at ScienceDaily 4thNov 2010
University of California – Davis (2010, November 4). Positive well-being to higher telomerase: Psychological changes from meditation training linked to cellular health. ScienceDaily. Retrieved March 6, 2011, from http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/11/101103171642.htm
Once more, my enthusiasm for teaching meditation is boosted, and I’ll continue to try and show people how to meditate easily.
Meditation really does change your life for the better
All you need to do is Just Turn Up everyday for 20 minutes and meditate.
